01/07/2005 - The Cool School launches new website., EMBARGO

The Cool School has today announced the launch launched its website, www.coolschool.com.au. The website launch is the culmination of months of preparation and program development, based on the principle of “inspirational education”. Founder of The Cool School, Gary Scallan, has described the launch as “the first step in bringing a new education paradigm to the Australian market.”

Mr Scallan, a financier by profession, was driven to challenge traditional educational outcomes after becoming involved in the coaching profession and on reflecting on the relevance of his own educational experience and that of his three adult sons.

“We know that everyone has the potential to be exceptional. Our level of success largely reflects our own interest and the interest and passion displayed by our teachers and trainers. Too often, we are compelled to spend large chunks of our lives learning things that will never be relevant to us. The Cool School is about exploring and delivering a dynamic approach to education. Our programs are fun and practical and will definitely inspire and encourage each person to achieve their magnificence.” Mr Scallan says.

The first programs offered by The Cool School are aimed at school communities and will be marketed in Queensland. The programs cover specific topics including:

  • Top Teacher – Assisting, challenging and inspiring teachers to achieve greatness
  • Big Dog Little Dog – Building and maintaining great Father and Son relationships
  • Champions – building positive team dynamics, culture and unity within sports teams
  • Terrific Teenager – Essential life skills for 13 to 15 year olds. Developed and written by young people for young people.
All programs incorporate three essential elements designed to ensure learning outcomes are achieved and to develop and instill a love of lifelong learning -
